This fertile land is where Mr. Patrick Alès, one of France's most famous hair stylists, and founder of PHYTO, married his two passions: hair and plants.

Mr. Alès, a visionary stylist for decades, regularly conveyed to his clients that the only way to achieve healthy hair, is through a healthy scalp.
It was nearly 50 years ago , when Mr. Alès stumbled upon an ancient collection of medicine bottles left by a holistic healer. The forgotten glass vials consisted of pure essential oils and varied plant extracts that held the age-old secrets. It was there PHYTO was born.

The nature of PHYTO

Only the finest, hand-selected botanicals are used in PHYTO formulas. each solution boasts high concentrations of active botanical extracts. Only a small amount of any PHYTO product is needed to treat the hair and scalp effectively. Mr. Alès' admiration of nature extends to product packaging - PHYTO uses only 100% recyclable glass or aluminum bottles and tubes.

Mr. Alès recommends that when applying a PHYTO shampoo, create a lather by combining a quarter size amount of the product with water.
